Today marks Bill's and my two year wedding anniversary! Has it really been two years?! Although I feel like so much has transpired since we got married, it still feels like yesterday that I was filled with excited as I anticipated the moment when I would walk down the aisle to marry my best friend and man of my dreams. Our wedding day was perfect, and the moment that I will always remember most vividly is in fact the moment when I turned the corner to go down the center aisle and locked eyes with my soon to be husband. Two years later, I am even more happy to be married to this man who loves me unconditionally, supports and encourages me daily, makes me laugh and not "sweat the small stuff" so much, knows exactly how to make me feel like the most special girl in the world, and lives his life daily to serve the Lord and those around him. Each day is an adventure, and I look forward to all that's in store for us in the years to come. Happy Anniversary, Bill! I love you and thank God for you every single day!

As part of our anniversary celebration, Bill and I went to Charleston, South Carolina for the weekend. Our trip actually started last Thursday in Winston-Salem, North Carolina for one of Bill's residency interviews at Wake Forest. We had an absolute blast! Both North and South Carolina are gorgeous parts of the country. We enjoyed every moment of soaking in the beauty, exploring and taking in the rich history, and indulging in some of the most delicious meals. We stayed at the most delightful place called the French Quarter Inn. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Charleston and looking for a quaint, romantic place to stay. It was just a couple blocks from the ocean and within walking distance to all the downtown shops and restaurants. We also enjoyed the champagne and lady fingers upon arrival, complimentary breakfast delivered to our room each morning, and the wine and cheese hour in the beautifully appointed lobby in the evenings. Some of the highlights of Charleston included a walking tour of the city, exploring the historic Magnolia Plantation and Gardens (absolutely breathtaking!), running along the ocean and east battery one morning, and eating one of the most delicious meals of our life at Hank's Seafood. I would return to that city in a heartbeat to take in even more that it has to offer. It was the perfect weekend getaway, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, historic, and beautiful place to visit.
On a different note, I would also like to wish a very happy birthday to one of my closest friends, Hannah! She was so sweet to embrace the idea of Bill and me getting married on her special day two years ago, and I love that Bill and I share our anniversary with Hannah's birthday. :) Love you Hannah! I hope you enjoy this day and have the best birthday yet!
Finally, I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! I can't believe that the week of Christmas is upon us! I hope everyone has a blessed Christmas, surrounded by those you love. Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift through the birth of our Savior!
